01 — About

An engineer who owns systems end-to-end.

I'm a full-stack developer based in Mexico City. Today I own the React frontend and co-own three backend services for a Mexican SOFOM (consumer lending) — one of two full-stack developers on a small engineering team reporting to the IT director — and I'm a long-term contractor for a US company, building production logistics and e-commerce platforms.

I spent years living and working in California, so bilingual means genuinely bicultural: I write specs, run incident reviews, and debate architecture in English without friction.

I don't stick to one layer. Features, security hardening, CI/CD, infrastructure — I take responsibility for the whole system, and I use AI tooling (Claude Code, daily) to move faster without cutting corners.

DXN — Mexican SOFOM (consumer lending fintech)

Own the React frontend end-to-end and co-own three backend services (Django, Symfony, Node/TypeScript) on a live lending platform, as one of two full-stack developers reporting to the IT director. Majority of the work is production fixes and stabilization — plus acting as the team's merge and release integration point.

  • Deep specialty in identity verification — INE document OCR, facial liveness detection (MediaPipe), and digital signature flows.
  • Application security: JWT hardening, MFA and OTP flows, CSP, credential externalization; led a formal security audit with a multi-wave remediation plan.
  • Led a zero-downtime production migration to AWS; built internal tooling from scratch — storage console, health dashboard, backup browser.

Full Stack Engineer (Contractor)

Ready Set Group — US client, SF Bay Area

Owns two production platforms end-to-end — features, security hardening, CI/CD, and infrastructure — with daily cross-timezone collaboration in English.

  • Ready Set (logistics/delivery): built a partner API integration layer connecting three catering marketplaces — CaterValley (live in production with automated tiered pricing), CaterCow, and ezCater — with HMAC-signed auth and per-partner rate limiting; real-time driver GPS tracking with proof-of-delivery capture; PostGIS-based mileage calculation for payroll; migrated infrastructure off Vercel to self-managed Docker on a Hetzner VPS.
  • Destino SF (e-commerce/catering): built two-way Square catalog sync that eliminated double data entry for restaurant staff, a concurrency-safe checkout preventing double charges and duplicate orders, resilience engineering (circuit breakers, retry queues), and a serious QA rig — Playwright E2E, accessibility testing, load testing — shipping 14 production releases in 3 weeks.

Consumer Lending Platform — Mexican SOFOM

A loan-origination platform with biometric KYC and digital signing — evidence of owning a compliance-heavy, security-critical production system at scale.

  • Facial liveness detection and INE document verification
  • JWT / MFA / OTP security hardening
  • Zero-downtime AWS migration

Ready Set — Logistics & Delivery Platform

Multi-sided platform connecting vendors, drivers, and dispatch for on-demand delivery. Live partner marketplace integrations (CaterValley, CaterCow, ezCater), real-time GPS tracking, a native driver-app proof-of-concept, and a self-hosted infra migration.

Destino SF — E-commerce & Catering Platform

Storefront and catering system for a restaurant, with two-way Square catalog sync and concurrency-safe checkout. Resilience engineering — circuit breakers, retry queues — plus rigorous QA (Playwright, accessibility, load testing) and a rapid release cadence.

Visual comparison between a poorly converting website and a website optimized to generate clients and trust.

Why Most Websites Don’t Generate Clients

Many websites look great but fail to generate clients. This article explains why design alone isn’t enough—and what actually makes a website convert and build trust.
